A community looking out for each other

About SAFE

Awareness without fear. Empowerment without blame.

SAFE is a community awareness initiative, not a security campaign. We share practical guidance that helps people feel more confident, aware and supported in everyday life.

What SAFE is

A practical awareness initiative for women and young girls, with messaging that anyone can benefit from. Calm, supportive, never fear-based.

Why it was created

Too much safety advice puts the burden on the person at risk. SAFE flips that: responsibility for violence always lies with the perpetrator.

What we focus on

Awareness, confidence and community support. Real conversations, real tools, real people looking out for each other.

Launch Day Saturday 16 May 2026

A day of conversations, not commands.

We set up the SAFE tent on the high street, handed out personal safety alarms, and spent the day talking with people, no scripts, no lectures, just listening. Hundreds of leaflets went out, and dozens of one-to-one chats happened along the way.

  • SAFE information tent with volunteers all day
  • Free personal safety alarms handed to anyone who wanted one
  • Safety awareness leaflets, simple language, no scare tactics
  • One-to-one guidance for anyone with questions or concerns

See it. Report it. Help keep your community safe.
