Safeguard Community Support is a volunteer-led community safety group based in Bournemouth, Dorset. Founded in 2025 by local residents, we provide a visible and reassuring presence in public spaces.

Our team brings together volunteers from a range of backgrounds, including former service personnel, security specialists, first aiders and concerned residents. We work calmly, lawfully and non-confrontationally to report concerns, support vulnerable people and play our part in a safer community.

Help keep us equipped

Visible, calm, and within the law.

Four simple things, done well. Volunteers patrol in teams of at least three, observing and reporting concerns, providing reassurance to the public, and supporting community safety with body-worn cameras and prompt reporting to the police when needed.

Foot patrols on key routes

Observe, record, report

Body-worn cameras, radios and immediate 999 reporting when an incident needs a fast response.

Safeguarding & first aid

First-aid-trained volunteers, vulnerable-person procedures and welfare check-ins on people who need help home.

Training & standards

Mandatory induction in safeguarding, conflict management and legal boundaries with regular refreshers.

RECOMMENDED SAFETY APP

See it. Report it. Help keep your community safe.
